not loading, or Printio not powering fully on. Applies whether Printio is inside your booth head unit or mounted externally.Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Confirm “Ethernet” appears on the iPad
- On iPad: Settings → Wi-Fi
- Look for Ethernet under Wi-Fi
If missing: Unplug the USB cable from the head unit and plug it back in firmly. Recheck on the iPad.
Step 2: If Ethernet shows but printer or printio.local
won’t load
Your IP looks fine, but you can’t see the printer or open http://printio.local
.
- Check for the red LED on the Printio module.
- If off, power-cycle Printio:
Unplug USB-C power, wait 15–20 seconds, then plug back in. Confirm the red LED turns on.
Step 3: Verify connectivity in a browser
- Confirm Ethernet still shows in Wi-Fi settings.
- Open Safari/Chrome →
http://printio.local
- If needed, refresh a couple of times after power cycle.
- When loaded and printer appears, your booth software should also detect it.
Step 4: Still no luck? Full booth + iPad restart
- Shut down iPad: Settings → General → Shut Down
- Power off booth (unplug), wait 10s, plug back in.
- Turn iPad back on and let it fully boot.
- Power-cycle Printio again (USB-C unplug → wait 15–20s → plug in).
Step 5: Re-check “Ethernet” and cables
- If missing: unplug/replug USB cable from head unit.
- If still missing: unplug head unit power briefly, then reconnect.
Step 6: Test from photo booth software
- Open your app, try a test print.
- If
printio.local
loads and printer appears, you’re good to go.
